This part contains copy correspondence sent to the India Office by the Foreign Office, relating to the following: applications for British visas to travel to Persia [Iran] made to the Military Control Officer at Stockholm by two Swedes, Carl Christian Rosencrantz and Johan Gustav Allan Sandberg, and the question of whether they were seeking to travel to Persia in order to take up appointments in the Persian Gendarmerie, or the Persian Police Administration; and the arrival in Stockholm, Sweden, of General Westdahl, Superintendent of the Persian Police, in order to engage three Swedish officials for the Persian Police.
The correspondence is largely between the Foreign Office and the Director of Military Intelligence at the War Office, and between the Foreign Office and Patrick Ramsay, of the British Embassy, Stockholm.
