- The item contains correspondence, memoranda, draft papers, telegrams and minutes regarding Baluchistan’s administrative, political and financial situation. The papers notably cover:
- Matters relating to railways in Persia [Iran], including the following: protection and security; working expenses; proposed railway lines connecting Mohammerah [Khorramshahr], Bushire [Bushehr] and Tehran; disturbances; and trade
- The Persian Government in conflict with leaders from the Sarhad [Sarḩad], Damani [Damānī ] and Reki [Rīghī] tribes
- Reports that the Persian Government did not make payments to tribes
- Raids by the tribes in Marjawa, Duzdap and other areas in Baluchistan
- Negotiations between the Persian Government on one side and Sadar Taj Mohammad Khan Reki [Sirdār Tāj Muḥammad Khān Rīghī] and Idu Khan Rekis [ʻĪd Khān Rīghī] from the Reki [Rīghī] tribe on the other
