-
This item consists of copies of correspondence, consultations, minutes, and resolutions cited in, or enclosed with, political letters from the Government of Bombay. In December 1822, French captured Jassim ben Fazel [Jāsim bin Fayṣal], a merchant from Bahrein [Bahrain] in the river at Bussora [Basra] and brought him to Bombay to be tried as a pirate. - The background to the incident including the disputes between Bahrein and Bushire

The item includes a contents page, and the title page of the item contains the following references: ‘Political No. 938, Draft 438, P.C. 391, [Season] 26/7’ and ‘Examiner’s Office 1825’.
