- Quarantine measures taken at Madras after information had been received from Bombay of the outbreak of plague at Bushire in March 1832 - proposal of the Bengal Government that there should be a uniform quarantine system in all the Indian ports, corresponding as far as possible to H.M. Order in Council of 19 Jul 1825 (includes a list of country vessels at Calcutta with details of cargoes, pp 92-93, and memoranda of medical cases taken at Bushire, 6-8 Mar 1832, by Assistant Surgeon James Pringle Riach, pp 146-47).
