- Disturbances in the Sath Mahal of Gwalior State caused by an impostor called Lalji Potail, who styled himself Raja Alijah Bahadur - the disturbances are put down by a detachment of the Gwalior Contingent under the command of Captain Bernard MacMahon - Thakur Partab Singh who had joined the impostor as his Diwan is sentenced to a year's imprisonment at Sehore (includes a casualty return for the engagement at Deri Goraia, 1 Oct 1831, p 49).
