The principal correspondents are: the Government of Bombay; Captain Samuel Hennell, Resident in the Persian Gulf; and Muhomed ibn Ali, Shaik of Jallan [Muḥammad bin ‘Alī Jaylanī, Chief of the Banī Bū ‘Alī].
