This item consists of copies of correspondence, minutes, and consultations, cited in, or enclosed with, political letters from the Government of Bombay. The principal correspondents are: the Government of Bombay; Captain Samuel Hennell, Resident in the Persian Gulf; and Muhomed ibn Ali, Shaik of Jallan [Muḥammad bin ‘Alī Jaylanī, Chief of the Banī Bū ‘Alī].

- The plunder of the Duria Dowlat [Darya Dowlat], a boat sailing under British colours
- The recovery, from the Shaik of Aboothabee [Shaikh of Abu Dhabi, Shaikh Khalīfah bin Shakhbut Āl Nahyān], of the value of the goods plundered from the Duria Dowlat
- The insurance claims of merchants and passengers as a result of the plunder of the Duria Dowlat
