This item consists of copies of correspondence, minutes, and consultations, cited in, or enclosed with, political letters from the Government of Bombay [Mumbai]. The correspondents are: the Government of Bombay; the Court of Directors; Captain Samuel Hennell, Resident in the Persian Gulf; the Government of India; Captain Robert Oliver, Superintendent of the Indian Navy in the Persian Gulf; and the Bombay Military Board.
The item concerns whether the Prince Regent Yacht might usefully be employed by the East India Company, or whether it should be sold or broken up. A list of the bills associated with the yacht is included.
