Decoration:
1 large initial (‘O’) in green with rosette-shaped foliate decoration in blue, green, ochre and red inside the letter (f. 12r). 1 large initial ‘D’ in green, pink and gold with a medium initial ‘S’ in purple inside the letter against a blue ground [abb. for ‘Deus qui’] (f. 56v); 1 large initial ‘D’ in blue, red and gold with a medium initial ‘S’ in gold inside the letter (f. 112r). Large initials in blue and red, sometimes with arabesque motifs in the same colour or foliate pen-flourishing in the opposite colour. Small initials in blue. Rubrics in red.

Provenance:
An unknown religious house in England: the origin is suggested by the fact that blessing for the feast of the birth of St Cuthbert is highlighted with a decorated initial in gold (f. 112r); according to Brückmann (‘Latin Manuscript Pontificals’ (1973), p. 435), the Benedictional is from Christ Church, Canterbury.
