The manuscript contains a later addition:
ff. 102v-103r: Award of Norham, 5-6 June 1291 (attested by William March, Treasurer, 9 July 1291), addressed to the abbot and community of Battle, rubricated ‘Compositio inter dominum Edwardum regem Anglie et magnates Scotie’, written in Latin and Anglo-Norman c. 1291.
f. 103r: A Latin verse, 'veritas liberavit nos', added in the ?14th century.
Decoration:
2 large puzzle initial with foliate or filigree penwork decoration and pen-flourishing in blue and red, or red only (ff. 18r, 74v); 3 large initials in blue and red with filigree penwork decoration and pen-flourishing in blue or red (ff. 18r, 33r, 61v, 92v); large and medium initials in blue or red with filigree penwork decoration and pen-flourishing in the opposite colour (ff. 21v, 23v, 32r [2x], 33r, 70r); small initials in blue and red. Rubrics in red; prompts for rubricator sometimes remain in margins (e.g. 26v, 69v).
