This part of the manuscript contains a section of the Historia Anglicana (English History) (books II-III) by Bartholomew de Cotton (d. ?1298). The rest of the original manuscript is now British Library, Royal 14 C I, ff. 20-137, of which book I of the Historia Anglicana taken from Geoffrey of Monmouth’s Historia Regum Britannie, is ff. 80r-137r (see Crick, A Summary Catalogue (1989), no. 114). This part of the manuscript also contains a bull by Pope Gregory X (1272-1276) to the bishops of London and Ely.
