The 'Voyage of St Brendan' is an Anglo-Norman French poem of the journey of St Brendan commissioned in the 12th century by Adeliza of Louvain (b. c. 1103, d. 1151), bride of King Henry I (r. 1100–1135), from a certain monk named Benedeit. This poem is presented on ff. 1r-11r. It is followed by the Navigatio sancti Brendani (Voyage of St Brendan) in Latin prose which is not a translation of the Anglo-Norman French poem, but is instead a completely separate work. Both texts relate the journey and experiences of St Brendan (b. 484, d. c. 577), an early Irish saint.
The remainder of this manuscript is now Cotton Titus A XVIII and Cotton Fragments XXIX, ff. 36–39.
