These folios contain perhaps the earliest surviving copy of Stephen's Vita S Wilfridi (Bibliotheca Hagiographica Latina, no. 8889). The only other surviving manuscript copy is Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS Fell vol. III 34a-56b. The text is imperfect, with several leaves missing between folio 87v (which contains chapter 15 of the vita) and folio 88r (which contains part of chapter 18).
Decoration: red initials with penwork, including interlace, foliate details, and beasts' heads (ff. 78r, 81v, 117r, 118r); initials in black, brown, and red with foliate details, interlace, and beasts' heads (ff. 87v, 100v, 111r, 115r, 119v); initials with decoration including humanoid faces (108r, 109v, 113v); large initial with penwork decoration including interlace and a beast's head in grey, red, and brown (f. 121r); initials, title headings, and incipits in red alternate with initials, title headings, and incipits in red, black, and brown or gold throughout the text.
