Letter to C. [Charles] Lushington, Secretary to the Government in the General Department, from N. [Nathaniel] Wallich, Superintendent Botanical Garden, 12 Dec 1823:
- asks to transmit to Lushington statement of charges incurred in sending collection of shrubs and trees to grounds of Lord Cornwallis's cenotaph at Gangepore, authorised in Lushington's earlier letter of 23 Oct 1823
- requests that Wallich be enabled to present the bill at the General Treasury
In response, it is ordered that
- Wallich be informed that the Acting Sub-Treasurer will reimburse Wallich for the cost of sending the shrubs and trees
- the necessary instructions and bill be sent to the Acting Sub-Treasurer
