The collection includes a copy of the Financial (Separate Revenue/Post Office) letter received from India, No.16 of 1875, dated 30 August 1875. The two contracts are: a special contract, dated 4 November 1874, for the conveyance of Mails, Troops, Convicts, etc, to and from Calcutta, Port Blair and Camorta; and a general contract, dated 14 April 1875, for the Mail Service extending from the Straits Settlement, round the Coast of British India, Ceylon and the Persian Gulf.
