Letter to G. A. Bushby, Secretary to the Government of India, from Wallich, 13 Mar 1841:
- acknowledges letter dated 30 Dec 1840, with its enclosure, and list of mammalia in the Museum of the Honourable East India Company
- in accordance with instructions in this communication, Wallich will prepare for transmission to the Honourable Court the entire Entomological Botanical Collections made by the late Assam Deputation from Sep 1835 to Mar 1836
- discussion of practical details of transportation of collections
- points out that both the Entomological and Botanical Collections are in a good condition
- emphasises that the cost of transportation should be relatively modest
- requests that a complete series of Botanical specimens should be retained for the use of the [Botanical] Garden
Ordered that the following letter be written to the Superintendent of the Honourable Company's Botanical Garden in reply.

Letter to Wallich from G. A. Bushby, Secretary to the Government of India, 24 Mar 1841:
- in response to letter of 13 Mar 1841, the Governor General in Council requests that Wallich prepares for transportation to the Court of Directors the series of Botanical specimens made by the late Assam Deputation, with an accompanying catalogue, a copy of which is to be forwarded [to the Government of India?] when Wallich has completed his arrangements
- Wallich is authorised to retain duplicate series of Botanical specimens for the Honourable Company's Botanic Garden
- the boxes of Assam insects are to be despatched to the Court of Directors in the manner proposed by Wallich, with a statement of contents to be forwarded to the [General?] Department for transmission to the Court [of Directors]
