Proceedings of Government consequent on a communication from George Norton, Advocate General, embracing questions deeply affecting the interests of the Native community and the administration of justice within the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court - appointment by the Chief Justice of Mr Serle as Registrar on the Equity side of the Court, the legality of which has been questioned by Mr Justice Norton - order by the Supreme Court on the Ecclesiastical side, dated 6th May 1843, requiring the Accounts of all Estates administered since 1st January 1823 to be filed in the Supreme Court, and new rules in establishing representative titles before the Petty Court, which in the opinion of the Advocate General are calculated to affect seriously the interests of Government and of public justice - defects of jurisdiction in the Court of Commissioners for Small Debts
