B. REYNALDO HAHN: ‘I know you love me not’, song for voice and piano (words, Mary Robinson, afterwards Darmesteter); 1903. Autograph. Score in ink, with engraver’s markings in pencil, signed by the composer (f. 30) and inscribed ‘Mlle Suzette Lemaire 1903’ (f. 27). Published Paris: Heugel [1903?], and subsequently London: Joseph Williams, [before 1911] as the last of a set of three songs, Love Without Wings. This set was subsequently published in a bilingual edition as Amour sans ailes, Paris: Heugel, [1911]. Add. 52464 A, ff. 4-5 is the autograph of the second song from the set, ‘The fallen oak’, dated 1898. Purchased by Tyson from the First Edition Bookshop (cat. 47 (1954), no. 18).
