Walter Agilon, De dosibus medicinarum,translated by Cormac MacDonlevy. The text is the translation into Early Modern Irish of a Latin text on simples and compounds written in the first half of the 13th century by Guatier (Walter) Agilon. According to the colophon (f. 11r) the translation was made by 'Cormac mac duínnthshlebj' [MacDonlevy] for 'diarmaid mac domhnaill hi leighin' [Dermot MacDonall O'Lyne]' and this copy of the work was completed at Cloyne, Co. Cork, on the 'fourth day of the Kalendas of April', i.e. 29 March 1459. Incipit: '[M]edicinarum / quedam sunt [omitting 'simplices'] / quedum composite .j. ata cu/id do na leigheasaibh aenda', explicit: 'is lór so ar dosisibh na leigheas'.
