Medical compendium relating to various diseases (forms one compendium with texts on ff. 12r-19v and ff. 37r-47r). The text derives in part from the Irish translation of the Rosa Anglica, a medical compendium compiled around 1313 by the English physician John of Gaddesden (d. 1348/9). Among the diseases of the head discussed are apoplexy, epilepsy and eye infections; further sections deal with ailments of the ears, nose and mouth, with scrofula, syncope, pleurisy, and with ailments of the spleen, stomach, intestines, kidneys and male genitals. Incipit (f. 12r): '[D]o gallraib an chind ocus ar tus do thuitim in fuilt', explicit (f. 47r): 'Item blonac … do ól ar an céadna et rcetera [sic]'.
The last two gatherings (ff. 42r-48r, 49r-54) incorrectly bound in reverse order and the correct sequence of the text is ff. 12r-19v, 37r-41r, 49r-54r, 42r-47r. Sequence of text on ff. 44v-45r is as follows: ff. 44v, 45r lower margin, 45r.
