1. The chronicle of Andrew of Wyntown Prior of Sanct Serfis Ynche in Loch Levyn; written on paper towards the beginning of the sixteenth century, except a leaf and a half at the cod, which am considerably older, and have been supplied from mother copy. The prologue is wanting. Every thing relating to this work that can be said or wished for will be found in the excellent edition of it published in 1795 by Mr David Macpherson, who was accidentally deprived of the use of the present manuscript, which would have certainly furnished him with many various readings of importance.
