2. The copy of a paper laid before the Society of Antiquaries by C. Lyttelton, Dean of Exeter, being some account of an ancient MS. in the possession of James West, Esq., intitled King Henry the First's Domesday for the city of Winchester; with an explanation of some terms not occurring in the Conqueror's Domesday. It also contains some remarks on the monastery of Sapaland, which is not mentioned either by Dugdale or Tanner; and an article from the above Domesday, proving that Saxon priests were permitted to marry.
