1. "Archaismus Graphicus, Henrico Spelman milite autore: cui adjungitur verborum contractio clericis in curiis forensibus usitata, curante Roberto Dykes. In fine additur verborum in libro Domesday abbreviatio. Sumptibus Jacobi West." fo. 1. Other copies of this extremely useful work are to be found in many publick and private libraries. See Hart. 6353, and the present collection 207 e. The original, in Sir Henry Spelman's own hand-writing, is in the possession of the compiler of this article; from which it appears that Sir Henry drew it up for the use of his sons in 1606. The printing of it with due accuracy and fidelity would be of much benefit in all MS. libraries.
