"The secret designs carried on in favour of the Pretender in the year 1715, as communicated by Thomas Wells, from the month of April in the year aforesaid to February 1716; with the method he took to come at the knowledge thereof, which was as follows, and in his case presented in 1741." fo. 45. This is addressed "to the honored Baron Scrope at the Treasury Chamber, at the Cockpit, June 9, 1741," and is apparently in the writing of Wells himself.
