- The text belongs to the β branch of the tradition. Rubric (f. 8v): 'Incipit aliud herbarium Apulei Platonis eiusdem epistula platonis / ad cives suos. De herba Plantaginis quantas virtutes habeat', prologue incipit: 'Apulius Platon ad cives suos. Ex pluribus paucas vires herbarum et cura-/tiones corporis … etiam medicis profuisse videatur', rubric 'Explicit epistula', incipit: 'Nomen herbe Plantago / a grecis dicitur Arnaglossa. Omoeos', explicit: 'Nascitur in paluchi et in pratis', rubric (f. 9r): 'Prima eius cura .est. ad capitis dolorem', incipit: 'Herbe plantaginis / radix in collo suspensa capitis dolorem mirifice tollit', explicit (f. 43v): '[rubric 'Nomen Herbe Mandragoras' on f. 43, and number 'cxli' in the margin] … reservantur pluribus usibus pro future', rubric 'Liber medicine Platonis herbaticus explicit feliciter'. With marginal notes by later hands in English.
