Letter from William Roxburgh, Samulcotta Garden, to Governor and Council at Fort St George [Madras], 8 Dec 1790, read at Council meeting of 20 Dec, announcing intention to send bread-fruit plants to Madras for onward despatch to Court of Directors in London, together with plants and seeds for Kew Gardens and for Joseph Banks. Asks if London has received the drawings of plants sent earlier. Recommends that sago palm be introduced to Samulcotta garden.
