The collection contains the following papers:
- Correspondence regarding a receipt from Joseph Kirner, Clock and Watch Maker, for a sealed packet transmitted with the Secretary of State for India's Despatch No.98, dated 24th November 1866
- Communication from the Government of Bengal furnishing information respecting Dr A Imthurn, Medical Officer of Tezpur, called for in the Secretary of State for India's Despatch No.109, dated 15th December 1866
- Mortuary Returns for the Districts of the North Western Provinces for 1865, including a memorandum on the mortuary statistics by W Chichele Plowden, Secretary to the Board of Revenue, North Western Provinces
- Bengal Medical Special Narrative No.1, dated 4th February 1867, relating to the engagement of passage to England for seven insane patients on board the ship King Arthur. Included are details of the cases of the seven patients: Charles O'Brien, Favoline Triedman, Martha Harrison, Eliza Sexton, William Pack, Henry Molter and Charles Lambourn. The papers also make brief mention of another insane patient Thomas C Gahan.
