The collection contains the following papers:
- Further Supplemental Rule relating to emigration from the Port of Calcutta, with correspondence on the subject of the attendance of Surgeon Superintendents at store inspections
- Correspondence relating to the explanation of the Protector of Emigrants of his conduct in connection with the wreck of the emigrant ship Eagle Speed, and on the subject of Steam Tugs employed in towing emigrant vessels to sea
- Reports on cattle disease in Bengal
- Quarterly Reports of the Calcutta Police Hospital and the Calcutta Police Pauper Hospital for the 2nd quarter of 1866
- Rule (on the keeping of medical records of a voyage in a more regular and accurate manner) passed in substitution of Section 39 of the Rules relating to Emigration from the Port of Calcutta, together with correspondence relating to a proposal by the Mauritius Government for the adoption of a uniform set of Rules for Emigration by the three Presidencies of Bengal, Madras and Bombay
- Government of India Notification, No.4661, dated 18th September 1866, regarding the precedence of the Chief Justice and Judges of the High Court for the North Western Provinces
- 2 copies of a report by T P Gudgin, V.S., 2nd Dragoon Guards, on the 'plague' or 'murrain' affecting cattle in British Burma, together with the remarks of the Chief Commissioner thereon
- Papers regarding the exhibition of products and manufactures held at Nagpur in December 1865, with the remarks of the Chief Commissioner of the Central Provinces thereon. The papers include the Central Committee's General Report, the reports of the Sub-Committees and Juries, a sketch plan (in colour) of the exhibition grounds showing the sites of the several buildings, and a plan & section of the main building
