Novae narrationes, a compilation in Anglo-Norman French (with titles in Latin) presenting the forms of pleading in courts, composed in the second half of the reign of Edward I (r. 1272-1307) and later supplemented with new formulas. This mauscript includes the type C of the Novae Narrationes, with some cases peculiar to this manuscript, which were tentativly identified with cases in the eyre of London of 1321 by Shanks and Milsom (1963, CX 1-3). Incipit: 'Ceo vous moustre'.
Decoration:
1 large historiated initial in colours and gold with partial bar borders with ivy, of a lawyer speaking to an assembly (f. 107r), at the beginning of the text. Paragraph marks in alternating red and blue.
