The collection consists of extracts from the Narrative, and the following small collections of papers:
- Coll 1, Extracts from the periodical reports of the Commissioners of Circuit on the Public charities and dispensaries assisted by Government in their respective Divisions, January to May 1858
- Coll 2, Statement of the disbursements of the Prosunnonauth Dispensary at Banleah, and the School and Dispensary at Nattore [Natore], from January to March 1858; and a Statement of the Account Current of the funds of the Prosonath Roy Fund Committee from January to March 1858
- Coll 3, Report on the charitable Dispensary at Mozufferpore [Muzaffarpur] by F I Monat, Inspector of Government Dispensaries, dated 2nd February 1857, together with correspondence regarding the scheme proposed by Dr Monat for making use of the dispensaries established in different parts of the country as training schools for village practitioners, February 1857 to May 1860
- Coll 4, Correspondence regarding the appointment of members of Committees of Charitable Dispensaries and Hospitals in the Lower Provinces, January 1857 to March 1858
- Coll 5, Increase to the wages of the three cooks employed in the Urnochutter Hospital at Cuttack and the entertainment of an extra sweeper authorised, January to April 1858
- Coll 6, Increase to the pay of the two apprentices attached to the Gowhatty [Gauhati] Dispensary authorised, March to June 1858
- Coll 7, Monthly Returns of patients (European) in the Lunatic Asylum at Bhowanipore for the months of March, April and May 1858
- Coll 11, Correspondence on the subject of allowing Merchants to store imported salt in the Mutlah without weighment, December 1856 to January 1857
- Coll 15, Temporary increase to the Establishment for the collection of custom duties and for the prevention of smuggling on the opening of the new Port on the Mutlah, December 1856 to March 1857
- Coll 20, Appointment of a Native Doctor to the Port of Mutlah and his subsequent dismissal from the service of Government, January to September 1857
- Coll 21, Correspondence regarding the removal of destructions, such as trees and sunken boats, from navigable rivers, April to May 1857

- Coll 24, Correspondence regarding the establishment of a Government dak direct between Rungpore [Rangpur] and Julpigooree [Jalpaiguri], June to November 1857
- Coll 25, Papers regarding the theft of a registered letter and its contents by Thomas Fraser Campbell, Inspecting Post Master of the Chittagong Division, March 1857 to July 1858. Included are copies of the depositions taken from witnesses.
