The main Buddha statue of Vat Manolom,before standing inside the old Sim behind that was destroyed during black Haw came to burn Luang Prabang city in 1887 and arms was broken cause called broken arms statue! this Buddha statue is biggest and oldest statue in Laos,was bronze and cast in 1372, BE1915,H=6m,weighs two tonns(total weighs 12 tonns),the statue its re-erection in 1919.after Pha One Ta Santapanyo was abbot in 1965 then built the new Sim and bring this Buddha statue come to inside,before statue body was broken head and waist remain only later connected by Pha One Ta and Lao reconstructed the missing arms with cement.This photo was taken in 1920
