Kanthin (annual robe or post-retreat robe) presentation ceremony at Vat Na Xao, Meuang Khai region, Luang Prabang district and province in 1960s, under a ceremonial chairman of Pha Khamfanh Silasangvara Maha Thela, Abbot of Vat Suvannakhili, Chief-monk for a restoration of Sim of Vat Na Xao. In this photograph, laypeople are paying homage to Triple Gems and receiving the five precepts. A man holding a microphone is Ajan Bounthan of Ban Meun Na who is a ceremonial expert, and a man next to his left-hand is a chief-donor of Kanthin General Phanya Suradej (Surith Donsasorith)
