Letter confirming that the Jenebah [Janaba] tribe of Soor [Sur] orchestrated the plunder and murder of British Subjects at Soor and detailing Pelly's subsequent actions in dealing with the tribe, including his letters requesting reparations, their response and the decision to open fire on their fort and destroy or capture their crafts.
The letter goes on to give assurances that all non-combatants had departed the town and area and that the small amount of huts and properties that had caught fire had not caused any significant damage before outlining the hope of ongoing outcomes from these actions in securing peace and reducing slavery along the shoreline.
