- Covering letter sent with an enclosure, a letter (f 242) addressed to Dr M. McAlister at Bushire, from Colonel Justin Sheil, Her Majesty's Minister Plenipotentiary and Envoy Extraordinary at the Court of Persia, dated 13 February 1852. Sheil writes about the appointment by the Persian Government of Meerza Mahmood Khan to assist Indian naval vessels in the suppression of the slave trade. Sheil also requests that all commanders be given translated copies of the slave trade agreement concluded with the Persian Government.
