The collection consists of the following small collections of papers, each of which has an extract from the Narrative, No.4 of 1860, dated 17th February 1860, and a table of contents:
- Coll 1, Extracts from the periodical reports of the Commissioners of Circuit on the Public Charities assisted by Government in their respective Divisions (Burdwan, Rajshahye [Rajshahi], Cuttack, Nuddea, Chittagong, Arracan [Arakan], Chota Nagpore, Dacca, Assam) for the 1st and 2nd quarters of 1859.
- Coll 2, Names of the gentlemen who had been appointed members of Committees of the Charitable Dispensaries and Hospitals in the Lower Provinces during the 3rd quarter of 1859.
- Coll 3, Monthly returns of patients in the Lunatic Asylum at Bhowanipore for the months of June, July and August 1859.
- Coll 4, Account Current of the Prossonnath [Prosonath] Roy Fund, and a statement of disbursements on account of the Charitable Institutions supported by the Fund at Beauleah [Banleah] and Nattore [Natore], for the 2nd quarter of 1859.
- Coll 5, Circular addressed to all Local Authorities to send insane patients to the Dullunda Asylum, June 1859 to February 1860.
- Coll 6, Papers regarding the measures taken for meeting the requirements of the new law (Act XXXVI of 1858) relating to lunatic asylums, December 1858 to February 1860.
- Coll 7, Correspondence relating to the Patna Lunatic Asylum, April 1859 to February 1860.
- Coll 8, Annual Report of the Lunatic Asylum at Moorshedabad [Murshidabad] for the year 1858.
- Coll 9, Correspondence regarding the irregular manner in which insane patients were transmitted to the Lunatic Asylum at Berhampore, August 1859 to February 1860.
- Coll 10, Correspondence regarding the dietary scale of the Dacca Lunatic Asylum being raised to the standard of that which obtained in the Dullunda Asylum, March 1859 to February 1860.
- Coll 11, Application from Staff Sergeant Robert Wilson, Overseer of the Lunatic Asylum at Bhowanipore, for the military pay of his rank in addition to his civil salary, June 1859 to February 1860.
- Coll 12, Correspondence regarding the Returns of Charitable Dispensaries to be forwarded by the Medical Officers direct to the Director-General of the Medical Department instead of through the Commissioner of Divisions, August 1859 to February 1860.
- Coll 13, Proposal for the establishment of a Dispensary at Sultangunge, April 1859 to February 1860.

- Coll 17, Application from Sub-Assistant Surgeon Hurrish Chunder Surma, attached to the Medical College Hospital, for permission to resign from Government Service, May 1859 to February 1860.
- Coll 18, Promotion of Sub-Assistant Surgeon Chunder Sekhur Holdar, attached to the Allipore Dispensary, June 1859 to February 1860.
- Coll 19, Papers regarding the complaints brought by Charles Wheler Sankey, Accountant to the East India Railway Company at Bhaugulpore [Bhagalpur], against Dr Farncombe, Civil Assistant Surgeon of the District, January 1858 to February 1860.
- Coll 20, Correspondence regarding the steps taken with a view to the removal of the preventable causes of unhealthiness of the Station of Bhaugulpore [Bhagalpur], December 1858 to February 1860.
- Coll 21, Correspondence reporting that Baboo Kumla Kant Bysack, Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector of Midnapore, had passed by the 1st or Lower Standard at the last examination, and had been vested with the special powers of an Assistant to a Magistrate described in Clause 3, Section II, Regulation III of 1821, July 1859 to February 1860.
- Coll 22, Request by W Cornell of the Civil Service to be informed if the attainment of a Degree of Honour in the Native Languages would be considered a cause for exceptional promotion in the Civil Service, and from what date was qualification for the public service to be reckoned, July 1859 to February 1860.
- Coll 23, Annual Report of the operations of the Government Lithographic Press for the official year 1858-1859.
- Coll 24, Papers relating to an increase of 308 rupees per mensem in the establishment of the Stationery Department, February 1859 to February 1860.
