The Sangharaj Dhammayana Maha Thera (Bounthanh) and the important monks of Luang Prabang such as Sathou Nyai Khamfanh Silasangvaro Maha Thera, Abbot of Vat Khili, celebrate the completion of the main hall of Vat Sikhottaboun,Thakhek, Khammoune province, in 1971. King Sisavangvatthana gave as an offering the main doors for the main hall of Vat Sikhottaboun. After the celebration the Sangharaj Dhammayana Maha Thera and Sathou Nyai Khamfanh Silasangvaro Maha Thera went to pray respect to Phra That Phanom, Nakorn Phanom, Thailand, and were received by Chao Khountheb Rattana Moli (Keo), the Chief-monk of Nakorn Phanom and the Abbot of Vat Phra That Phanom and the monks of Vat Phra That Phanom. In the same year, Mr. Thid Khamtanh (Phia Meu Xa, the father of Sathou Nyai Khamchan Virachitto) died, so Sathou Nyai Khamchan Virachitto could not go to pray respect to Phra That Phanom with the Sangharaj Dhammayana Maha Thera. Vat Sikhottaboun,Thakhek,Khammoune was built in 1966 by Sathou Nyai Khamchan Virachitto, the Abbot of Vat Saen Sukharam, received an invitation from Mr. Bounleuad Sanichanh.The main hall is 31 meters long and 11 meters wide and has 9 rooms. Chao Khountheb Rattana Moli, after being promoted Phra Dhammarajanouvat.
