Letter from Francis Warden, Chief Secretary at Bombay Castle, to Lieutenant William Bruce, Resident at Bushire, transmitting the translation of a letter from the Imam of Muscat to Sir Evan Nepean, Governor of Bombay, dated 6 Shaval [Shaban] 1228 or 2 October 1813, informing that the inhabitants of Bahrain are under his law and his flag and affirming his desire to maintain good relations with the British, in exchange for protection against the Persians attacking Bahrain.
In attachment, letter from J Adam, Secretary to the Government at Fort William, to Francis Warden, Chief Secretary to the Government, sent on 12 November 1813 to acknowledge the receipt of the translation above and to express the Government's support to the Imaun.
