The letter acknowledges the receipt of a communication from the Resident dated 15 August 1818. It expresses the Captain's outrage at a report that a ship belonging to Shaik Abdulla ben Ahmed [Shaikh ‘Abdullāh bin Aḥmad] has been plundered by the HC Cruizer Antelope. It insists that all the property that was taken should be restored, and the Commander of the Antelope brought to account for his actions.
