The letter relates to the recent incident of piracy and plunder committed by a Sharjah boat against a Bahrain boat, as originally reported by Stannus (IOR/R/15/1/35, f 64v-67). Walker reports that the version of his events he has heard was that, on learning that the boat belonged to Bahrain, the Sharjah crew left her alone and committed no plunder. Walker states that he proceeded to Sharjah on receipt of Stannus's report, to verify the true version of events. Enclosed with Walker's letter is a report to Walker from Lieutenant Elivon of the Honorable Company's cruizer Antelope (folio 70), dated 29 August 1825.
