Letter regarding Pelly having been en-route to Muskat to acquire a blood arab mare for Alison when his steamer (Berenice) caught fire and recounting to Alison the incident and his week long journey to reach Bassidore.
The letter continues by reporting that the agencies at Muskat and Gwadur have been placed under his command by Government and some small gun boats have been placed at his disposal.
