Letter regarding the agent Abdool Rahman's statements before officers onboard the ship Penguin with regards to Muscat and his support of Syed Torkee [Turki bin Said]'s intentions to attack it.
The letter goes on to discuss Pelly's journey to Shiraz; whether Way would prefer to go to Bushire or Bassidore or whether he would prefer to spend 1868 in Bushire in which case he will need to procure a house.

The correspondence within the volume has been arranged chronologically and twelve folios of loose correspondence have been inserted in to the volume following folio seventy, in order to maintain this chronology, and foliated consecutively resulting in the letter to Alfred Cotton Way which commences on the verso of folio seventy to conclude on the recto of folio 85 even though it is on the next folio of the volume.
