The collection consists of the following small collections of papers, each of which has a cover sheet, a table of contents, and an extract from the Narrative, dated 11th September 1859:
- Coll 1, Temporary arrangement for the conduct of the clerical duties at Agra, May 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 2, Proposed erection of a Roman Catholic chapel at Allahabad, May 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 3, Restoration to his appointment of Sub Assistant Surgeon Dina Nath Dass, in charge of the Jubbulpore Dispensary, who was suspended for neglect of duty, October 1857 to September 1859.
- Coll 4, Correspondence on the subject of the appointment of Dr W Peskett as Superintendent of Vaccination in the Hills, with instructions for the organisation of an efficient establishment for making vaccination universal and successful throughout the Hills, and the continuation of vaccine operations in the Kumaon and Garhwal Hills under the separate charge of Dr Pearson, March 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 5, Admission of students into the Medical School at Agra by competitive examination, April 1858 to September 1859. Includes a list of candidates for admission into the Medical School examined on the 26th April 1858.
- Coll 6, Report on the Thomason Hospital and Medical School at Agra for 1857, with related correspondence April 1858 to September 1859, and a list of the students of the Medical School at Agra for the session 1857/58.
- Coll 7, Additional charge incurred in the Jubbulpore Dispensary of 23 rupees per mensem for assistance to the Subordinate Branch of the Medical Establishment attached to the Nagpur Moveable Column, October 1857 to September 1859.
- Coll 8, Medical bills passed during the 2nd Quarter of 1858. Includes pay abstracts for the Establishment attached to the Agra Medical School for the months February to May 1858, and a list of Bazar medicines received for the Civil Department of Agra in the month of July 1857.
- Coll 9, Petition from Punchum Koer, widow of Kirat Singh, and Sewa Koer, widow of Sultan Singh, praying for an investigation into the case of Sultan Singh, who it was alleged was summarily executed by C Churcher, Deputy Collector and Joint Magistrate of Etah, on suspicion of being a rebel, March 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 10, Commendable conduct of two officers during the Mutiny connected with the Post Office: Lalla Salig Ram, Head Writer of the Post Master General's Office at Agra, and Baboo Eshan Chander Mukerji, Deputy Post Master at Aligarh, January 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 11, Movements of the steamer Jumna on the river Gogra to prevent it being destroyed by the rebels, April 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 12, Report by R Taylor, Assistant Magistrate and Collector of Benares, on the successful navigation up the river Gogra by the steamer Jumna, with related correspondence February 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 13, Suggestion that the collection of grain and slaughter cattle by the Civil authorities be discontinued as supplies were abundantly procurable through the Commissariat officers, March 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 14, The house at Pandeypur of the Rajah of Benares made over to Government for one year free of rent, March 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 15, Correspondence regarding a report by H B Medlicott, Professor of Geology at Thomason College, on the Vindhyan rocks in Bundelkhand, April 1858 to September 1859 [a copy of the report was not enclosed with the correspondence].
- Coll 16, Transfer to District Officers of the several halting places on the road between Benares and Cawnpore, of the supplies provided by the Superintendent of Supplies for the Grand Trunk Road, and the dismissal of the Special Establishment on that account, April 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 17, Establishment of coal depots on the river Gogra, April 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 18, Correspondence regarding an attack upon and plunder by the enemy of a portion of the convoy of stores intended for the Field Force under General Frank, February 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 19, Correspondence regarding the salary of V Berkeley, Assistant to the Superintendent of Supplies, Grand Trunk Road, North Western Provinces, June 1857 to September 1859.
- Coll 20, Correspondence regarding the salary of C Horne, Superintendent of Supplies and Carriage, North Western Provinces, June 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 21, Compensation claimed for property in transit by bullock train or steamer, plundered, destroyed or lost by the way, June 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 22, Contingent expenses incurred in the office of the Chief Engineer, Jubbulpore, during February 1858.
- Coll 23, Bullock train charge of a Writer attached to the Government Translators Establishment, March 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 24, Disbursement on account of expenses consequent on the transmission of letters through Oudh to the camp of General Frank, April 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 25, Correspondence regarding the salary of the Translators Establishment at Allahabad for February 1858.
- Coll 26, Disbursement sanctioned for the removal of certain tents and baggage belonging to the late Lieutenant Governor of the Central Provinces, from Jounpore [Jaunpur] to Benares, April 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 27, Payment of the value of hired carts plundered at Kandoo Ka Nullah, April 1858 to September 1859. Includes a list of the names of the cartmen.
- Coll 28, Bill for 600 rupees for tents supplied by Messrs Smith and Co for the use of the Government of the Central Provinces, March 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 29, Purchase of printing paper for the office of the Government Secretariat, Agra, March 1858 to September 1859.
- Coll 30, Appointments sanctioned during the 2nd Quarter of 1858.
- Coll 31, Leave of absence granted during the 2nd Quarter of 1858: Rev H Murray, Chaplain of St Paul's Church at Agra, on two months privilege leave; and Rev W J Jay, Chaplain of Meerut, on one months privilege leave.
