- In this letter James Pringle Riach, Assistant Surgeon, Bushire, requests that Lieutenant William Rose, Commander of the Company cruiser, the Nautilus, proceed to Sharga [Sharjah], in order to deliver the packets addressed to Ephraim Gerrish Stannus, the Resident at Bushire, who is currently on a tour of the lower part of the Gulf. Riach provides further instructions in the event of Stannus not being present at Sharga.
