Copy Telegram from the Foreign Secretary, Camp Delhi to Sir Lewis Pelly, Baroda

Telegram advising Pelly to take legal steps, through the Solicitor to the Government of Bombay, to impound all monies belonging to the Gaekwar in any bank in Bombay, which the Government of India have claimed as property of the state of Baroda.
A pencil note from Lewis Pelly, dated 28 March 1875, requests that a copy of the telegram be made and placed in the file concerning state banks. A further unsigned note, also dated 28 March, states that the above request has been fulfilled.
