William Newnham transmits a translated letter from Sooltan bin Suggur [Sulṭān bin Ṣaqr Āl Qāsimī, ruler of Sharjah], dated 8 December 1826, complaining of the violence and oppression of his neighbours and of the instructions communicated to the Persian secretary. Newnham informs the Resident that the Governor of Bombay will be happy to receive his report.
