Volume I: Volume 2 continues in IOR/F/4/2537/147513.
Government of India to the Court of Directors regarding measures to reduce smallpox mortaility and increase the success of vaccination across the Presidencies. Letter dated 02 Jun 1853 summarises the various reports and letters that are enclosed: vaccinators to be appointed to the several dispensaries in Bengal and in the North-Western Provinces as proposed by the Bengal Medical Board; in Madras and Bombay, improvements are to be made to the existing systems.
Several reports and letters are forwarded to the Court for information.
