Letter reporting on the insubordinate conduct of two privates belonging to the Marine Battalion Native Infantry, which was attached to the escorts of the Residency; their removal to HC Cruizer Clive and replacement with two Sepoys from the detachment serving on board the vessel.
The letter goes on to describe the events which had led to their removal from the Bushire residency guard; and refers to enclosed correspondence with Captain John Betham of the Clive, which is no longer enclosed.
