- Coll 1, Correspondence with H B Riddell, Director General of the Post Office of India, respecting the registration of letters passing between England and India, April 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 2, Enquiry by H B Riddell, Director General of the Post Office of India, as to the course to be followed in regard to correspondence suspected to be treasonable, July 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 3, Correspondence regarding the despatch of all letters and papers by the After-Packet to be conditional upon the Inland postage upon them being pre-paid at the usual rates, May 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 4, Correspondence regarding a suggestion by the Madras Chamber of Commerce for securing the earlier receipt from Galle of the mails from Madras and Calcutta conveyed by the monthly steamers from England to Australia, June 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 5, Enquiry by H B Riddell, Director General of the Post Office of India, whether carts conveying the public mails should be liable to toll at the Toll Bars erected under Act VIII of 1851, August 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 6 (2 vols), Correspondence regarding postage stamps received per ships Hougomont, Lord Raglan and Nile, June 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 7, Correspondence regarding the renewal for a period of three years, or until the 1st July 1860, of the contract with Messrs Taylor and Co of Madras for the conveyance of the mails and banghies between Madras and Trichinopoly by horsed carts at the rate of 14 rupees a mile, or a total sum of 2,933 rupees a month, June 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 8, Correspondence regarding the objection on the part of H Newill, Acting Collector of Guntoor [Guntur], to affix the usual declaration to certain contingent bills of the Post Office Department, standing unadjusted in the accounts of that Collectorate, April 1856 to July 1858.
- Coll 9, Correspondence regarding a revised contract for the conveyance of the mail between Panwell and Vingorla at 638 rupees per month, from the 1st February 1856 to the 31st January 1858.
- Coll 10, Correspondence respecting a question raised by the Civil Auditor of Bombay regarding the mode in which the bills of the mail contractors should be passed, July 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 11, Correspondence regarding the case of Tookarambin Dhondee Sawunt, a Peon in one of the Post Offices at Bombay, who demanded and received small sums of money on bearing letters, over and above the amount authorised by the Post Office Act, April 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 12, Correspondence regarding the opening of a new postal line by H B E Frere, Commissioner of Sind, from Hyderabad to Jodhpur via Omerkote [Omarkot], Guddra and Balmeer [Balmer], July 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 13, Application for authority to write off to profit and loss of the Jellasore Post Office accounts the sum embezzled by Mr Campbell, while ex-officio Post Master of Jellasore, May 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 14, Further proceedings regarding the Chittagong Post Office robbery, and the arrest of Mr Campbell, late Inspecting Post Master of the Chittagong Division, April 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 15, Correspondence regarding the refusal of H W Reily, Inspecting Post Master of the Dacca Division, to comply with the request of Lieutenant C McMullin, Commanding the Detachment at Dacca, that all letters addressed to the sepoys or non-commissioned officers of the 73rd Regiment of Native Infantry should be forwarded direct to him for inspection and delivery to the parties, July 1857 to July 1858.

- Coll 25, Correspondence regarding authorisation for the Establishment for the Post Office with General Havelock's Column, at a total cost per mensem of 175 company's rupees, and the rewards to the mail coachmen on the line between Allahabad and Cawnpore for good conduct, September 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 26, Correspondence regarding the rejection of an application preferred by Messrs Apcar and Co for a bonus of 2,500 rupees for conveying the mail to Rangoon and Moulmein by the steamer Manchester in May 1857, March 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 27, Representation by Major General Bell, Commanding the Pegu Division, of an extra charge (ship postage) made on all letters received from India in the steamer Manchester, July 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 28, Application by H B Riddell, Director General of the Post Office of India, to write off to profit and loss the sum of 50 company rupees, charged as contingencies in the cash account of the Sittang [Sittaung] Post Office for the month of June 1854, September 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 29, Correspondence regarding a representation by H B Riddell, Director General of the Post Office of India, regarding the difficulty which existed in obtaining funds to enable the Executive Officer to make the usual rainy season arrangements for the conveyance of the mails in that portion of the Bombay and Nagpur road which passes through the dominions of His Highness the Nizam of Hyderabad, June 1857 to July 1858.

- Coll 33, Question raised by H B Riddell, Director General of the Post Office of India, whether it was illegal to levy the ordinary rates of Indian postage upon letters posted in, or received at the Presidency towns to, and from foreign countries, although they may be sent or recieved by Her Majesty's steamers, but not in Her Majesty's mails, September 1857 to August 1858.

- Coll 48, Correspondence regarding the instructions issued to the officers stationed at the stages at which the European troops halt on their way to Benares to afford every aid to the postal authorities in the Bullock Train arrangements, October 1857 to August 1858.
- Coll 49, Correspondence relating to a complaint made by the Officiating Commissioner of Burdwan to the effect that 180 bullocks, supplied by the Magistrate of Howrah to the Government Wagon Train Department, had not been paid for, and that certain palkee bearers sent by the Collector of Hooghly to Barrackpore on the requisition of the Commissariat Department, had been detained for 24 hours without food or money, August 1857 to August 1858.
