The collection consists of the following small collections of papers, each of which has a cover sheet, a table of contents, and an extract from the Narrative, dated 15th October 1858:
- Coll 1, Grant of an allowance of 50 rupees to A Garstin, Chaplain of Benares, for carriage hire on account of his having to visit and attend upon the European soldiers at Rajghat, February to October 1858.
- Coll 2, Dismissal of Sub Assistant Surgeon Dinnanauth Dhur for disobedience of orders in refusing to join his appointment at Allahabad, November 1857 to October 1858.
- Coll 3, Dispensary Returns for the Districts of Dehra Dun, Saharunpore, Muzaffarnagar and Meerut for the 2nd half of 1857.
- Coll 4, Contingent bills of the Government Dispensary, Thomason Hospital, and Agra Medical School for January 1858.
- Coll 5, Establishment bills for vaccine operations in the Agra Division during January 1858.
- Coll 6, Reports on the operations during the year 1857, regarding the Native Hospital and Branch Dispensaries at Benares, and the Asylum of Raja Kali Shankar.
- Coll 7, Advances made to certain parties for the construction of houses at Allahabad, February to October 1858.
- Coll 8, Re-entertainment of the Government Translator's Office Establishment, March to October 1858.
- Coll 9, Contingent bills for expenses incurred in the Stationery Depot for July to December 1857.
- Coll 10, Advance of 4,000 rupees to the Superintendent of the Agra Government Press for the wages of artisans, pressmen, etc, and to defray the expenses incurred in the repair and construction of Presses, March to October 1858.
- Coll 11, Application from Chuterbhooj Suhaie, proprietor of the Aftab Alamtab newspaper, for a license to establishment a printing press at Agra under the provisions of Act XV of 1857, February to October 1858.
- Coll 12, Bills for December 1857 and January 1858 amounting to 280 rupees on account of extra allowance of one rupee each guaranteed to the runners of the Jaipur postal line.
- Coll 13, Appointments made during the 1st quarter of 1858: E C Bayley, F B Outram, Reverend R M Price, Reverend L Poynder, Reverend W Simpson, Reverend F Hinde, and C J Daniell.
- Coll 14, Grants of leave of absence obtained during the 1st quarter of 1858: Reverend J D'Aquilar, Chaplain of Roorkee; Richard C Oldfield, Assistant Secretary to Government (includes a statement of his medical condition); and Captain R Maclagan, Principal of the Thomason College Roorkee.
