The collection consists of the following small collections of papers, each of which has a title page, a table of contents, and an extract from the Narrative, No.12, dated 14th July 1858:
- Coll 1, Periodical reports of the Commissioners of Circuit on the public charities in their respective districts, October 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 2, Account Current of the Prosonath Roy Fund, and quarterly report of the Prosonath Dispensary at Banleah and the school and Dispensary at Natore, for the 3rd and 4th quarters of 1857.
- Coll 3, Correspondence regarding the purchase of clothing and other necessaries required for the use of the General and Seamen's Hospital at Akyab, August 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 4, Monthly return of patients in the Bhowanipore Lunatic Asylum for the months of December 1857, and January and February 1858.
- Coll 5, Annual return of the European and Native insane patients in the Asylum at Bhowanipore and Dullunda for the year 1857.
- Coll 6, Annual returns of the Dacca Native Insane Asylum for the year 1857, including a list of those employed at the hospital (does not include a list of the patients).
- Coll 7, Application of the District Charitable Society for the renewal of the Government monthly donation of 1200 rupees, January to July 1858.
- Coll 8, Application by Dr Robert Pringle, Civil Assistant Surgeon at Puri, for appointment to the post of medical officer to the civil station of Cuttack refused, December 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 9, Cash abstract of the Asiatic Society of Bengal, showing the receipts and disbursements of the Oriental Fund, with a statement of assets and liabilities of the Society at the close of the year 1857.
- Coll 10, Correspondence regarding items written off to profit and loss in the accounts of the Superintendent of Stamps, November 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 11, Correspondence regarding the Officiating Accountant to the Government of Bengal being authorised to renew the lease of the house occupied by his office Establishment at the rent of 400 rupees per month, February to July 1858.
- Coll 12, Correspondence regarding the formation of a Stationery depot at Allahabad and the entertainment of a temporary Establishment, October 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 13, Correspondence regarding licenses granted to Moulvee Hadyat Ali of Balliaghatta and Prankissen Sircar of Akyab for the use of printing and other presses under Act XV of 1857, January to July 1858.
- Coll 14, Correspondence regarding the discontinuance of the issue of stationery to Inspecting Post Masters and Superintendents of Mail Carts from the Stationery Office, March to July 1858.
- Coll 15, Corresponence regarding the temporary increase to the Police Hospital Establishment and to the dieting allowance of the patients accommodated in the Police Hospital, September 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 16, List of junior civil servants and uncovenanted officers liable to undergo the examination, which was to be held in April 1858.
- Coll 17, Correspondence regarding the Director General of the Medical Department being authorised to rent an eligible house in the vicinity of the Medical College Hospital at the commencement of the cold season for the reception of small pox patients, without previous reference to Government, November 1857 to July 1858.
- Coll 18, Correspondence regarding the Deputy Post Master of Arrah being exempted from paying the sum expended by him in advertising the loss of a promissory note, which was plundered by the mutineers, in the Government Gazette, February to July 1858.
- Coll 19, Items of expenditure passed during the 1st quarter of 1858. Includes a list of dead stock, and indent for articles required for the use of the Medical College Hospital for the year commencing 1st January 1858.
