pp 1871-85. Correspondence regarding Rost's discovery and its apparent use in the treatment of leprosy throughout India, including the following reports:
- Copy Third communication on the pathology and treatment of leprosy, being a paper read before the Burma Branch of the British Medical Association on Monday the 13th June 1904, by Captain E R Rost;
- Letter received from the Sanitary Commissioner with the Government of India regarding the impurity of Rost's leprolin, and discussing the use of Tuberculin in Livonia by Truhart;
- Report on the examination of the following specimens (a) A supposed "culture of the leprosy bacillus"; (b) A "culture medium for leprosy"; and (c) "leprolin" by Lieutenant-Colonel D Semple, Director, Pasteur Institute of India;
- Report by Lieutenant-Colonel W B Bannerman, Officieting Director-in-Chief of the Plague Research Laboratory, Parel, on the sample of leprolin and the supposed cultures of bacillus leprae;
- Further correspondence thereon, including inquiry form the Governor of French Guiana regarding the treatment.
